UCL: Olympiakos vs Arsenal Predictions

 

It’s crunch time for Arsenal tonight! A must win indeed that determines last 16 football or Europa League Football in the New Year! Athens is where it is tonight, Arsenal fans need to roar in unity and back the team to a win, something that we have failed to do in the last 3 attempts! History isn’t on our side, not to mention that we need to beat them by 2 goals! We are capable of doing it, of course we are…but it depends which Arsenal turns up tonight. We are backed into a corner and after Manchester United got knocked out last night, We don’t want to follow suit and they had a better chance than we did! Chelsea as well as they face Porto tonight, they also face the chance of being knocked out as well! Imagine Man City, the Citizens being the only English team left in the competition! Arsenal need to make it through because us in the Europa League…well it wouldn’t be terrible but that Thursday night game…would put major dampers into our Premier League Campaign.

We have No Sanchez or Cazorla tonight! Ozil is there, Walcott and Chamberlain have returned recently! Cech has to be in goal for us, no question about it! Our defense has to be strong! No mistakes to be made hopefully, And well…no injuries hopefully! Hopefully we field a strong squad that can get us a 2 goal win at least and send us into the last 16 of the UCL! No matter how you look at this fixture, tonight matters! It’s one of the most important nights in Arsenal’s season! It will define so much and I will go for a 3-1 win for Arsenal tonight, I have to believe that we can win, that we can achieve our goals tonight!

I Don’t Understand Wenger

 I understand that Cech could possibly have been rested because he may have had a slight injury but why did we not hear about this until AFTER the football game, it makes no sense in my opinion, why all of a sudden, after the game we find out that Wenger has said that Cech may have picked up a slight injury!

So far Arsenal are last in thier group..LAST…when has this ever happened before…18 years in a row we have been in the Champions League yet this season, we just don’t seem to be taking it seriously anymore! Ospina is a good goalkeeper, I never said he was bad, in fact he has had many good games for us but last night was a HOWLER! We need Cech back and soon!

 Why are we bothering in the Champions League? I mean are we? We are in the competition but are we actually bothered about that Mr Wenger? I mean the defending was horrible! And some fans think Wenger doesn’t want to upset Ospina! Do you think Van Gaal or Mourinho would be too afraid to upset a players feelings, I mean when did John Terry last play a game?

And for all those fans telling upset Arsenal fans that we need to grow up because we’re having a moan! THIS IS THE SAME RUBBISH THAT’S HAPPENED YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT! It’s not been happening for just this season, it’s been about a decade of this…We are allowed to voice our opinions on the matter, I mean Arsenal fans pay the highest prices in the Premier League and we barely buy any players! Perhaps we don’t have as much money as the other teams about us apparently…who knows what goes on behind Wenger but to lose to Zagreb and Olympiakos….inexcusable! if those two losses were to Barcelona and Bayern Munich…I’d understand a bit more because those two teams are a mile ahead of us! It’s true, they regularly buy and win trophies year in and out.

We are out of the Champions League! Do you really think we can beat Bayern Munich? Really…seriously…after those last two games??? Bayern put at least 5 past Zagreb…we managed one….Bayern have beaten us comfortably in recent times! I understand that Wenger is upset about the loss and I know it’s not impossible to still get out of the group stages but to beat Bayern Munich…in our current state…I just don’t see it…our defense is bad and I don’t know what it is about playing in the UCL but Arsenal just seem to…cower and crumble to these teams but why? We can beat Leicester 5-2 and they hadn’t lost a game up to that point yet Olympiakos can get 3 goals at the Emirates?

Ok, I’ve got all my shouting out of my system….I am distraught tonight…two losses in the UCL and we are bottom of our group! I’d say that we are going to the Europa League now BUT YOU NEED POINTS TO FINISH 3RD! How did this happen guys, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? Why did we buy Cech if we ain’t going to use him in the important games in Europe which is all of them…I just don’t understand how we went from retaining the FA Cup, feeling so confident that we felt we could finally challenge for the Premier League to this…losing to Zagreb and Olympiakos is not good enough…far from it…I feel for the fans at the Emirates, wandering about gob smacked…what just happened…again?

Well done Olympiakos, good win for you…we were dreadful and you weren’t…I wonder what Wenger will say about this…probably nothing to give us fans hope…false hope maybe because I can’t see any justification for  these two results, not one! can you? I’d love to hear them because we always manage to qualify from the group stages at least and I know your thinking or saying that four games remain but two of those games are against Bayern…think we can beat them…I sure don’t! even a miracle wouldn’t help Arsenal against that team…something is very wrong here and it annoys me! If we go out on Sunday and Beat Man United then questions need to be asked….why can we do so well in the Premier League yet so terrible in the UCL, it’s like two different teams and only one of them are decent, the other is just appalling.

Wenger, you have a lot to answer for, especially when you consider at any other club, you’d have gotten the sack years ago but that doesn’t seem to be the case at Arsenal and no, I’m not saying this because I’m mad we lost but many other managers get the sack for not winning trophies after so long, Wenger went a decade and he’s still here! 4th is our trophy but finishing 4th in a group we can finish 2nd in is abysmal…and he’ll still get away with it…because who else can we get in that’s any better? Klopp??? Ancelotti? Maybe we should give John Carver a call??? sadly, he’s the best we can stick with and he knows that…his arrogance is obvious but his love for the club is also, no denying that…I just wish he would admit he’s wrong sometimes and learn from his mistakes!

Care to borrow Steve McClaren’s umbrella Wenger? Because if I were a season ticket holder, it’d be very hard to not tear it up and throw it at you after that display, disgraceful! I’d be more happy that Chelsea lost, only they have 3 points already and I don’t want to laugh at another English club losing because we should all be doing better in this competition, that 4th spot we have could be going soon to Italy at this rate! BTW that penalty miss for Chelsea….THAT’S KARMA! Learn from it!

So in the end, we lost…badly and now we face Man United this Sunday….at home, I dread to think how the fans will feel if we lose this one…I don’t know about you but the pressure is on the lads more so now this Sunday! a win is a must for morale at least and to keep the Emirates as a fortress…we can’t crumble now…we mustn’t We are Arsenal and LONDON IS RED!

But for now…any room in the Europa League for us???

Arsenal 1 Olympiakos 2 WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE KEEPER?!

It’s half time at the Emirates and Arsenal…are losing…not what I wanted to be writing about at this moment in time but it is what’s happening right now and…I’m down right furious about it…but I don’t want to get mad…what’s the point because Wenger ain’t changing his methods or ways…he complained earlier today that it’s unfair that Olympiakos are dominating the Greek League so they have more time to prepare for tonight’s game…WHY DIDN’T YOU PLAY CECH? why isn’t the only player you brought in this summer playing a very important game for us? Isn’t that the main reason you bought him? This is Arsenal! We are supposedly with a squad that can win the Premier League…yet we are losing games to Zagreb and Olympiakos and to be honest…they make it look easy! How is this happening Gooners? How are we losing these games….I know there’s a 2nd half to come and everything but how can we go from beating Leicester and Spurs convincingly to sort of showing up against Olympiakos? AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE?

I want to ask a question to our manager…Arsene Wenger….Do you even want this anymore? I want to know, do you want to manage Arsenal anymore because from where I’m standing, you look like you can’t be bothered anymore! Why isn’t Cech on? This is the Champions League Mr Wenger, a competition that I would like Arsenal to do well in, not be the group’s whipping boys because at the moment, THAT’S WHAT WE’VE BECOME! Olympiakos and Zagreb are humiliating us! and don’t get me started on the 2 Bayern Games coming up! Lord help us in those 2 games…

Before we go overboard with Ospina,remember that he has done well for us in the past and that Cech made a howler on his debut for us, I just don’t get why our 1st choice keeper isn’t playing tonight…it makes no sense to me! It’s like your saying the UCL isn’t that important to you and that you’d rather focus on the league…WHY NOT HAVE A GO IN IN THE UCL? Are you saying through your choices that you don’t believe we can win it? Is that what you want to say Wenger? Because if so, THEN SAY IT! Stop with the excuses and produce! I want a much better performance from our players, a good old kick up the backside TO WAKE THEM UP! COME ON!

Every year we get 4th or 3rd so we can still play in the Champions League! I’m beginning to wonder what the point is at the moment because we get in the competition then suck at it….I’d say we want to get into the competition for 2 reasons, so listen up!

Arsenal vs Olympiakos UCL Prediction

It’s game night in the UCL once again, game 2 and tonight is a big one for any Gooner fan who travels to the Emirates, watches on TV or listens to the game via radio as we play Greek Side Olympiakos in a must win game after our very disappointing loss to Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia and lord knows that we want to have a second loss once again, especially in our back yard! a 2nd loss would be devastating in my eyes because not only do we have Bayern Munich next but it would make the task of getting at least second all that much harder when we would be the only team in the group without a win! Momentum would be against us so losing is not an option if we really mean to get through to the next round!

Here’s my team that I’d play

Come on Mr Wenger, give us some sort of hope in this competition, I mean you go on about how many years in a row we’ve been in this so at least show that you want to do well in it, what happened in Croatia was unacceptable! embarrassing even! I know it’s never easy to win away from home in this competition but still, WE ARE ARSENAL! if we can beat Leicester 5-2 and beat Spurs in the space of a week then why couldn’t we do the same to Zagreb??I don’t care what you say, I felt humiliated that we lost that way…normally we would have showed more character as a team but we didn’t and we lost to the lowest ranking team in our group, a game where 3 points were essential, now we must beat familiar opposition who will feel that they as well can beat us at the Emirates and further humiliate us before those German Giants come knocking on our door in a few weeks, I’d rather go into the Bayern game with at least one win under our belts!

I’ll go for a 2-1 win for Arsenal, I’d prefer a 2-0 one but I have a feeling we’ll let a goal slip through
